A Walk in the City

Mariona Tolosa Sisteré

Following the prize-winning book A Walk in the Woods, a new picture book by internationally published illustrator is added to the series: A Walk in the City.

A city is hustle and bustle, the people who inhabit it, animals running around, the smell of freshly baked bread… Join us on this walk and enjoy the city with your family.

In this colorful book, readers will discover how to enjoy the city where they live. Through the senses, they will learn to notice the environment they already know but do not pay attention to on a daily basis. What can you find on a walk through your city when your only goal is to contemplate?

Cities are an infinite source of stimuli. There are so many that it can even be overwhelming. And sometimes, the biggest ones hide small (and not so small) things that go unnoticed. To enjoy a walk around the city, we must not hurry, we must not try to seize it all. We must pay attention and activate all our senses.

A Walk in the Woods was selected as one of the Best Books of 2021 by the New York Public Library!

Grant & sample translation available.
